EMPOWERING ACTIVITY

On the outside, M&M’s come in many different colors, but on the inside, they are all relatively similar. People can also be very different, but we all share the ability to have emotion and express our feelings.

Write down three statements describing when you feel positive emotions. For example, “I feel happy when I am listening to music” or “I feel excited when I learn to play a new sport.” Feel free to use other emotions such as proud, surprised, satisfied, content, confident, and so many more!

Click on the worksheet to print, or draw on your own paper.

Use the space on the worksheet to write down your response.

Oftentimes, we spend so much energy focusing on negative feelings or keeping our emotions to ourselves, but it is important to also focus on and be aware of the positive feelings we experience.

It is good to reflect on how our environment affects our emotions. Learning to be expressive and vocal about our feelings can help us be more self-aware and in check of our emotions.
